Тип записи:Публикация, Interaction of Black Hole Magnetospheres with Inclined Ambient FieldsMagnetic fields play a central role in black hole astrophysics, powering relativistic jets and other energetic phenomena. While near-horizon magnetic field is usually assumed to originate from the accretion flow, additional large-scale magnetic fields - such as those supplied by a companion neutron star in stellar-mass binaries or by galactic fields around supermassive black holes - may also affect the horizon-threading flux. In this work, we study the superposition of a weak arbitrarily inclined external uniform magnetic field with the internal Blandford-Znajek split-monopole field around a Schwarzschild black hole. This setup generically gives rise to magnetic null points, where the total field vanishes. We compute the magnetic flux through an arbitrarily tilted hemisphere of the event horizon and show that the flux can be substantially suppressed by the external field. In the axisymmetric case, the flux can even vanish completely. However, with nonzero inclination, complete cancellation becomes impossible, despite significant reduction. We further explore the ionization and subsequent particle acceleration from a Keplerian accretion disk, finding that efficient collimated outflows persist even under significant field inclination. We show that the acceleration is critically dependent on the external field orientation, with the escape fraction maximized at non-zero inclinations due to the destabilization of trapping zones and minimized in the anti-aligned configuration, where closed magnetic loops effectively suppress the outflow. We discuss the astrophysical implications of these findings, proposing that geometric flux cancellation can serve as a mechanism for jet quenching in compact binaries and offering an explanation for the lack of a prominent large-scale jet in Sgr A*. - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия

Тип записи:Публикация, A shadows from the static black hole mimickers(Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, 2023-01-10) ;Aray Muratkhan ;Ayazhan Orazymbet ;Madina Zhakipova; In this work, we study shadows from the naked singularity spacetime. The most analytical solutions of black hole shadows only investigated the case that the geodesic equations for photons can separate variables. We review the spherical null naked singularity metric and this spherically symmetric naked singularity spacetime metric is the solution of Einstein equations with an anisotropic fluid source which has no photon sphere. We also review a static, axially-symmetric singular solution of the vacuum Einstein’s equations without an event horizon which is can be used to describe the exterior gravitational field of a mass distribution with quadrupole moment. Moreover, the corresponding spacetime is characterized by the presence of naked singularities. It is theoretically known that not only a black hole can cast shadow, but other compact objects such as naked singularities, gravastar or boson stars can also cast shadows. We present the analytical calculation of shadows for both naked singularities spacetime and compare with the shadow of Schwarzschild static black hole, we show that this can serve as a black hole mimicker. Тип записи:Публикация, Black hole in a combined magnetic field: Ionized accretion disks in the jetlike and looplike configurations(American Physical Society, 2024-03-05) ;Saltanat Kenzhebayeva; ;Arman TursunovMartin KološMagnetic fields surrounding black holes are responsible for various astrophysical phenomena related to accretion processes and relativistic jets. Depending on the source, the configuration of the field lines may differ significantly, affecting the trajectories of charged particles and the corresponding observables. Usually, the magnetic fields around black holes are modeled within a single source or current generating the field. However, magnetic fields can have more than a single origin, being a combination of different fields, such as, e.g., that of an accretion disk and external large-scale or Galactic ones. In this paper, we propose a combined magnetic field solution given by the superposition of the uniform and Blandford-Znajek split-monopole magnetic fields in a strong gravity regime of the Schwarzschild black hole. We show that when the combined magnetic field components are aligned, the resulting field is of a paraboloidal jetlike shape. Such a configuration is supported by relativistic jet observations and is often utilized in general relativistic magnetohydrodynamical simulations. In the opposite orientation of the two field components, we observe looplike field structures magnetically connecting the black hole with an accretion disk and the magnetic null points, which can be related to the regions of magnetic reconnection. In the combined magnetic field configurations, we analyze the dynamics of charged particles, study their stability conditions, and find the locations of stable off-equatorial structures close to the symmetry axis. Finally, we consider an ionization of Keplerian accretion disk as a particular scenario of particle scattering. From the numerical experiments, we conclude that charged particles in the jetlike combination show a strong tendency to escape from the black hole, which is not observed in the case of individual fields. In contrast, the looplike combination supports accretion of charged particles into the black hole.Цитирования (OpenAlex) 11Цитирования (OpenCitations) 8 - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
Тип записи:Публикация, Comparing the efficiency of GPU and CPU in gravitational lensing simulation(Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, 2024-06-20) ;Nurzada Beissen ;Daniya Utepova ;Vladimir N. Kossov; In this study, we investigate the computational advancements in simulating gravitational lensing, particularly focusing on the Schwarzschild black hole model. The traditional approach of back ray tracing, where photons are traced back from the observer to the source, is computationally intensive, especially when aiming to achieve high-resolution images of lensing effects around black holes. By employing a numerical method that integrates the Schwarzschild metric with initial conditions derived from the observer's plane, we map the deflection of light around a black hole to generate simulated images of gravitational lensing. The core of our study is the comparison between traditional CPU-based computations and GPU-accelerated processes using the Numba library. Our findings reveal that GPU acceleration, with its parallel processing capabilities, significantly reduces computation time, particularly as the complexity of the simulation increases with larger grid sizes. This computational efficiency is crucial for simulations of gravitational lensing, where the number of independent calculations grows exponentially with the resolution and accuracy of the desired image. Our research underscores the importance of leveraging GPU technology for astrophysical simulations, offering a substantial improvement in performance over CPU-based methods. Keywords: Gravitational Lensing, GPU Parallelization, Schwarzschild Black Hole, Ray Tracing Methods, Numba Library.
