We study numerically a combined gravitational and nonlinear magnetic lensing effect on electromagnetic flux. A magnetar with a dipole magnetic field and background gravitational field is considered to deflect the light rays which passed through its magnetosphere. We assume a square wave front with sides [Formula: see text][Formula: see text]m as a grid with the [Formula: see text][Formula: see text]m dynamic step. At the nodes of this grid, the rays enter perpendicularly into the cubic area, which covers the main magnetic lensing region with a magnetar at the center. On the basis of general relativity (GR) and nonlinear vacuum electrodynamics, the distribution of rays by the deflection angle in the combined field of the magnetar was obtained. On the basis of the analysis of the obtained data, it is possible to assert that the magnetic field distorts the result of gravitational lensing. Therefore, the magnetar is regarded as a gravitational-magnetic lensing object, wherein the magnetic field induces axial distortion within [Formula: see text]. These results are expected to be detectable by modern instruments.

The analogy between optics and mechanics provides a unified way to describe particle motion in mechanics and light propagation in geometrical optics, and recent publications have demonstrated that this analogy can also be applied to general relativity, specifically when dealing with static metrics. In this paper, we use the material medium approach to obtain the refractive index associated with the gravitational field of a compact object having a quadrupole moment. Within this approach, we explore well-known effects of general relativity such as redshift and radar echo delay, deriving mathematical expressions for these phenomena taking into account the influence of the quadrupole moment.

tInthis study, we examine dense compact objects, such as white dwarfs and neutron stars, through the lens of Einstein's theory of gravity. Our focus is on understanding these objects when they are not perfectly spherical, using a mathematical description fortheir gravitational fields. We consider the quadrupole moment as an additional parameter that explicitly enters the equilibrium equations and the geometry of spacetime. In fact, most studies of equilibrium conditions in relativistic astrophysics are limited to the case of spherically symmetric sources. We construct approximate interior and exterior line elements, considering the quadrupole moment up to the first order, to describe static deformed compact objects. We pay particular attention to the interiors of slightly deformed compact objects, applying a specific formula known as the equation of state (EoS). This critical component enables us to understand how these stars balance the force of their own gravity with internal pressure. The EoS is pivotal in determining how matter behaves under the extreme conditions of density and pressure found within these compact objects.

This paper explores the optical approach to simplifying complex concepts in general relativity (GR) and nonlinear vacuum electrodynamics. The focus is on using optical analogies to simplify the understanding of spacetime curvature and interactions in strong gravitational and magnetic fields. We demonstrate how applying concepts of effective refractive index can facilitate the teaching and comprehension of GR optical effects, such as gravitational lensing and the behavior of light around massive objects. Additionally, the paper covers the application of optical analogies in the context of nonlinear vacuum electrodynamics, showing how strong magnetic fields affect light propagation. This interdisciplinary approach provides a more natural understanding and modeling of complex physical phenomena, making them better accessible for study and teaching.

This paper presents a numerical study of the relativistic restricted three-body problem within the framework of General Relativity. Using the Lagrangian and Hamiltonian formalisms, the equations of motion with relativistic corrections up to the order of 1/c2 were derived and solved numerically in Wolfram Mathematica. The developed model allows one to analyze orbital stability under small relativistic perturbations. Numerical simulations were performed using the Runge–Kutta integration method for three systems: “Earth–Sun–Moon,” “Earth–Sun– Mercury,” and an equal-mass configuration. The results confirm the stability of circular orbits and reproduce the observed relativistic precession of Mercury’s perihelion. For the equal-mass system, the calculations reveal a transition from quasi-periodic to chaotic motion, depending on the initial conditions. The study demonstrates the reliability and efficiency of the Mathematica environment for modeling nonlinear relativistic dynamics and shows that the proposed approach can be useful for further research in celestial mechanics and gravitational physics.
