Gravitational Refraction of Compact Objects with Quadrupoles(Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute, 2023-02-28) ;Nurzada Beissen ;Daniya Utepova ;Medeu Abishev ;Hernando QuevedoWe use the material medium approach to derive the refractive index that can be associated with the gravitational field of a compact object with a quadrupole moment. We consider both a static deformation and a stationary rotation of the gravitational source as the source of the quadrupole. We show that up to the first order in the quadrupole, the refractive indices of both configurations are equivalent such that from the point of view of refraction, a mimicking effect can occur. This also holds at the level of the deflection angle. We argue that it is possible to use the refractive indices and the parameters of the trajectories of light rays that propagate in a gravitational field to determine the physical parameters of the source.
Application of GBT theorem for Gravitational deflection of light by Compact Objects(Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, 2023-03-13) ;Nurzada Beissen ;Daniya Utepova ;Aray Muratkhan ;Ayazhan OrazymbetOne of the most renowned classical experiments that verifies the curved nature of space-time geometry is the bending of light. This phenomenon is extensively discussed in most textbooks on general relativity, with a clear and comprehensive explanation provided. In this study, we employ the material medium approach to determine the refractive index associated with the gravitational field of a compact object with a quadrupole moment. Our research presents a method for calculating the gravitational deflection angle for compact objects by utilizing the refractive index and the GBT theorem for an isotropic metric. This method is particularly important because it allows for the calculation of the deflection angle for both light and relativistic particles. The material medium approach enables us to consider the compact object's gravitational field as a medium with a refractive index. By applying this approach, we establish a relationship between the refractive index and the quadrupole moment of the compact object. We then utilize this relationship to calculate the deflection angle of light and relativistic particles.
Тип записи:Публикация, Stability Properties of Geometrothermodynamic Cosmological Models(Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute, 2023-09-28) ;Nurzada Beissen ;Medeu Abishev; ;Temirbolat AitassovSagira MamatovaWe consider a particular isotropic and homogeneous cosmological model, in which the equation of state is obtained from a thermodynamic fundamental equation by using the formalism of geometrothermodynamics (GTD). The model depends effectively on three arbitrary constants, which can be fixed to reproduce the main aspects of the inflationary era and the ΛCDM paradigm. We use GTD to analyze the geometric properties of the corresponding equilibrium space and to derive the stability properties and phase transition structure of the cosmological model.
Nonlinear electrodynamical lensing of electromagnetic waves on the dipole magnetic field of the magnetar(World Scientific, 2023-12-01) ;Nurzada Beissen ;Medeu Abishev; ; Y. AimuratovWe study numerically a combined gravitational and nonlinear magnetic lensing effect on electromagnetic flux. A magnetar with a dipole magnetic field and background gravitational field is considered to deflect the light rays which passed through its magnetosphere. We assume a square wave front with sides [Formula: see text][Formula: see text]m as a grid with the [Formula: see text][Formula: see text]m dynamic step. At the nodes of this grid, the rays enter perpendicularly into the cubic area, which covers the main magnetic lensing region with a magnetar at the center. On the basis of general relativity (GR) and nonlinear vacuum electrodynamics, the distribution of rays by the deflection angle in the combined field of the magnetar was obtained. On the basis of the analysis of the obtained data, it is possible to assert that the magnetic field distorts the result of gravitational lensing. Therefore, the magnetar is regarded as a gravitational-magnetic lensing object, wherein the magnetic field induces axial distortion within [Formula: see text]. These results are expected to be detectable by modern instruments.
Bending of Light by Magnetars within Generalized Born–Infeld Electrodynamics: Insights from the Gauss–Bonnet Theorem(Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute, 2024-01-22) ;Nurzada Beissen; ; ; A.S. TaukenovaWe compute the weak bending angle of light within generalised Born–Infeld electrodynamics as it passes through the equatorial plane of a magnetic dipole. We start by considering the refractive index associated with the dipole within generalised Born–Infeld electrodynamics. Then, we calculate the Gaussian optical curvature based on these refractive indices. Using the Gauss–Bonnet theorem, we derive a formula to quantify the deflection angle in the presence of a strong magnetic field from a dipole. Our results align with results obtained through traditional geometric optics techniques, underscoring the importance of the Gauss–Bonnet theorem as a versatile tool for solving intricate problems in modern theoretical research. We apply our theoretical deflection angle formula to estimate the light bending in magnetars listed in the McGill catalogue, providing insights into the behaviour of light in environments with strong magnetic fields.
The Influence of Deformation in Compact Objects on Redshift and Radar Echo Delay(Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, 2024-03-19) ;Nurzada Beissen ;D.S. Utepova ;V.N. Kossov; The analogy between optics and mechanics provides a unified way to describe particle motion in mechanics and light propagation in geometrical optics, and recent publications have demonstrated that this analogy can also be applied to general relativity, specifically when dealing with static metrics. In this paper, we use the material medium approach to obtain the refractive index associated with the gravitational field of a compact object having a quadrupole moment. Within this approach, we explore well-known effects of general relativity such as redshift and radar echo delay, deriving mathematical expressions for these phenomena taking into account the influence of the quadrupole moment.

Comparing the efficiency of GPU and CPU in gravitational lensing simulation(Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, 2024-06-20) ;Nurzada Beissen ;Daniya Utepova ;Vladimir N. Kossov; In this study, we investigate the computational advancements in simulating gravitational lensing, particularly focusing on the Schwarzschild black hole model. The traditional approach of back ray tracing, where photons are traced back from the observer to the source, is computationally intensive, especially when aiming to achieve high-resolution images of lensing effects around black holes. By employing a numerical method that integrates the Schwarzschild metric with initial conditions derived from the observer's plane, we map the deflection of light around a black hole to generate simulated images of gravitational lensing. The core of our study is the comparison between traditional CPU-based computations and GPU-accelerated processes using the Numba library. Our findings reveal that GPU acceleration, with its parallel processing capabilities, significantly reduces computation time, particularly as the complexity of the simulation increases with larger grid sizes. This computational efficiency is crucial for simulations of gravitational lensing, where the number of independent calculations grows exponentially with the resolution and accuracy of the desired image. Our research underscores the importance of leveraging GPU technology for astrophysical simulations, offering a substantial improvement in performance over CPU-based methods. An overview of light ray deflection calculation by magnetars in nonlinear electrodynamics(2024-06-24) ;Nurzada Beissen ;Medeu Abishev; ; Due to the lack of experimental confirmation of the effects of nonlinear electrodynamics (NED) of vacuum on the electromagnetic wave, it remains the most pressing issue. One of the most optimal media for studying these effects, occurring in astrophysics, are magnetars. Various methods of studying the bending of a wave passing through the magnetospheres of magnetars play a key role in a deeper understanding of vacuum NED. This article reviews modern methods for determining the angle of bending of the electromagnetic wave under the effect of NED of vacuum and gravity, with special attention paid to NED of vacuum in intense electromagnetic fields, which is a characteristic feature of magnetars. The article discusses various methods and techniques used to measure these angles, as well as their potential astrophysical applications.
