Тип записи:Публикация, A Linguistic Analysis of Anam Cara: Spiritual Wisdom from the Celtic World(2024-10); ; ;Almash SeidikenovaGulnar Alipbayevna KaripbayevaThe article presents the results of a comprehensive study of the complex cognitive-linguistic mechanisms underlying the formation and representation of spiritual-philosophical concepts in J. O’Donohue’s Anam Cara: Spiritual Wisdom from the Celtic World (1997). Drawing on cognitive linguistics, philosophy, and cultural studies, the study illuminates how spirituality is constructed using linguistic devices in the text studied. Our findings contribute to the growing body of scientific knowledge in cognitive psychology, linguistics, and cultural studies as they elucidate the intertwined nature of cognitive processes, linguistic factors, and cultural influences in forming and interpreting spiritual and philosophical concepts. Our findings indicate that images and metaphors related to the concepts of the soul, light, and mystery are frequently employed in expressing spiritual and philosophical ideas in the novel through personifications, juxtapositions, and syntactic constructions such as parallelisms and antitheses. In conclusion, such interdisciplinary research provides a foundation for further exploration and refinement of theoretical frameworks and methodologies in these fields, contributing to research and practical application advances. - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
Тип записи:Публикация, Parental reflexivity and latent psychological violence among urban parents in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan: an exploratory study(Frontiers Media, 2026-09-30); ; ; Marhabbat NurovIntroduction Parental reflective functioning (PRF) has been associated with less harmful parenting behavior and a lower likelihood of intergenerational continuity of violence. However, little is known about whether the association between parental reflexivity and psychologically harmful parenting differs between fathers and mothers in Central Asia. This study examined parental reflexivity, measured using A. V. Karpov’s Reflexivity Scale as an operational proxy for PRF, and its association with latent psychological violence among urban parents in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Methods A cross-sectional multi-city study was conducted in Almaty, Shymkent, Turkestan, and Bishkek. The analytical sample ( N = 400), drawn from a larger dataset ( n = 500), included 158 fathers and 242 mothers. Measures included reflexivity, aggression, empathy, latent psychological violence (ILV), uyat intensity, and family-of-origin violence. Analyses comprised parent-group-specific regressions, bootstrap coefficient comparisons, hierarchical moderation models with a PRF × parent-group interaction, and robustness analyses using recruitment-site fixed effects, robust standard errors, the full sample, parent-group weighting, and additional family-context covariates. Results Reflexivity was strongly inversely associated with latent psychological violence in both parent groups. The PRF–ILV slope was descriptively steeper among fathers than mothers ( b = −0.900, R 2 = 0.485 vs. b = −0.779, R 2 = 0.417), but the difference was not statistically significant ( z = −1.27, p = 0.204; 95% bootstrap CI [−0.320, 0.067]). The PRF × parent-group interaction was also nonsignificant (Δ R 2 = 0.002, p = 0.201). Among highly reflective parents with family-of-origin violence, none of five fathers met the exploratory high-ILV threshold (ILV ≥ 70), compared with 1 of 7 mothers; this difference was nonsignificant ( p = 1.000). Family-of-origin violence was associated with lower reflexivity among both fathers ( d = 0.64) and mothers ( d = 0.74). Discussion Parental reflexivity showed a robust inverse association with latent psychological violence, but formal analyses provided no evidence that this association differed between fathers and mothers. The descriptively steeper father association should therefore be regarded as hypothesis-generating rather than as evidence of a father-specific effect. These findings support further longitudinal and intervention research in urban Central Asian populations. - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия

Тип записи:Публикация, Cross-cultural data on romantic love and mate preferences from 117,293 participants across 175 countries(Nature Portfolio, 2025-07-01) ;Marta Kowal ;Piotr Sorokowski ;Biljana Gjoneska ;Katarzyna PisanskiGerit PfuhlPsychological studies on close relationships have often overlooked cultural diversity, dynamic processes, and potentially universal principles that shape intimate partnerships. To address the limited generalizability of previous research and advance our understanding of romantic love experiences, mate preferences, and physical attractiveness, we conducted a large-scale cross-cultural survey study on these topics. A total of 404 researchers collected data in 45 languages from April to August 2021, involving 117,293 participants from 175 countries. Aside from standard demographic questions, the survey included valuable information on variables relevant to romantic relationships: intimate, passionate, and committed love within romantic relationships, physical-attractiveness enhancing behaviors, gender equality endorsement, collectivistic attitudes, personal history of pathogenic diseases, relationship quality, jealousy, personal involvement in sexual and/or emotional infidelity, relational mobility, mate preferences, and acceptance of sugar relationships. The resulting dataset provides a rich resource for investigating patterns within, and associations across, a broad range of variables relevant to romantic relationships, with extensive opportunities to analyze individual experiences worldwide.Цитирования (OpenAlex) 6Цитирования (OpenCitations) 3 - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия

Тип записи:Публикация, Search and Implementation of Innovation in Educational InstitutionsProblem Statement: Problem of innovation is a major component in the development of professional educational institution. Innovative activities not only excite a competitive process but also determine multifunctional aim: preparation of qualified specialists of appropriate level and profile, whose competence and advance knowledge of profession meet the world standard. Purpose of study: To estimate the intensity of innovative activity, and identify the factors which contribute and prevent the spread and development of innovations. Research methods: Following methods were used: method of theoretical analysis, interview, and analytical and statistical data processing. Collection of initial information was carried out on the basis of gathering the informative database with the help of checklists and questionnaires. These activities had been carried out at the State Women University and Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages. Findings: In the process of evaluation of the quality of the innovative activities, following results were taken: 5% of the respondents consider that the innovative activities are carried out at a high level; 37% - it is mostly at a high level; 49% consider that they are carried out positively only in some fields, in others not; 6% considers that the activities are carried out at a low level; 3% of the respondents state the fact that the innovative activities are not carried out at all. According to expert's assumptions, the above- mentioned data is overestimated. One of the main negative factors that block the implementation of the innovative activities, according to the expert's view, are the contradictions between the possibilities and the real ‘status quo’ of the issue among the pedagogical community in accepting everything new. Conclusions: The analyses of findings show: potentially effective activities are carried out in a limited sphere and changes slowly. Limits for modernisation imply the lack of appropriate technologies and absence of full conditions to overcome them. Organisation of innovative activity should be based on: comprehensive scientifically proved based program; the relationships among theЦитирования (OpenAlex) 1 - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия

Тип записи:Публикация, Ethnogenesis and Ethnic Processes in Modern KazakhstanFinding the roots of ethnic Kazakh people is extremely complex, and is intimately connected with the study of ancient Kazakhstan and adjacent areas of Eurasia. Among the many aspects of the origin of the Kazakh people are two aspects: linguistic and anthropological. There is every reason to believe that the two processes in the area under parallel development, mainly for historical vertical. This approach allows us to trace the continuity and preserve the “ancestral” traits. However, in certain periods of history played a role and the development of the horizontal line. It is noteworthy that in the ancient indigenous monks region had a common linguistic and anthropological basis, and modern descendants of the genetic clustering generally corresponds to the linguistic. Kazakhstan's long history can be divided into two periods: the Indo-European and Turkic. The first period, in spite of their considerable time distance, appears as a real phase formed not only with strong economic and cultural traditions, but also a number of prominent ethnic groups. This article is an analysis of the ethnic processes in Kazakhstan.Цитирования (OpenAlex) 1 - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
