Тип записи:Публикация, Digital Competence of a Teacher in a Pandemic(2021-03-27) ;Darazha Issabayeva ;Lyazzat Rakhimzhanova ;Ulzharkyn M. Abdigapbarova; M. A. ZHUMARTOVThe article considers changes in the education system during the COVID-19 coronavirus infection pandemic. The term “digital competence of a teacher” is disclosed and a comparative analysis of the attitude to distance learning of teachers and students using a sociological survey is made. The teachers identified the lack of direct contact with the student as the main disadvantage of distance learning, and students feel discomfort due to the inability to receive knowledge directly from the teacher. A number of problems of distance learning have been identified and a course program has been created to improve the digital competence of a teacher. The course content covers the basics of pedagogical design, rubrics of educational results, platforms for collaboration, tools for creating a video lecture, platforms for monitoring and collecting information, digital footprint and analysis, online resources of virtual laboratory work. As a result of learning, 680 university teachers and teachers of secondary schools in Kazakhstan designed their own course. At the end of the first semester, the approbation of these courses was considered. The authors performed a two-step data analysis procedure using deductive and inductive analysis methods. According to the course indicators, many of the identified problems have significantly decreased.Цитирования (OpenAlex) 24Цитирования (OpenCitations) 13 - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
Тип записи:Публикация, Fostering Teachers’ Digital Competence in AI-Supported Learning Environments: Implications for Interactive Teaching and Student Achievement(Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute, 2025-11-27) ;Gaukhar Aimicheva ;Aigul Shaikhanova ;Kainizhamal Iklassova; Aizhan NazyrovaIn this article, the development of in-service teachers’ digital competence is examined within an AI-supported learning environment designed to enhance professional modeling skills and the creation of interactive AR-based instructional content. The study investigates how such an environment supports teachers in developing contextual digital skills that enable not only the use of emerging technologies but also their meaningful adaptation to pedagogical goals and instructional needs. A training program involving 916 in-service teachers from Kazakhstani secondary schools was implemented, and survey data were collected to assess changes in digital competence and readiness to integrate AI and AR tools into teaching practices. The findings demonstrate high levels of interest and engagement: 96% of participants expressed readiness for further learning, 86% reported satisfaction with the course content, and 84% showed contextual maturity in applying newly acquired technologies in their instructional processes. These results highlight the potential of AI-supported professional development to strengthen teachers’ capacity to design interactive learning environments, promote equity and quality in digital education, and enhance student engagement.Цитирования (OpenAlex) 8 - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
Тип записи:Публикация, Developing interdisciplinary and meta-subject competencies in school geography: a systematic review of digital and mobile learning approaches(Frontiers Media, 2026-09-30) ;A. M. Sarsebayeva ;N. (Nurbol) Usenov ;Bakhadurkhan Sh. Abdimanapov ;Mukhamedrakhim KursabayevThe integration of digital and mobile learning approaches into school geography has become an important direction of pedagogical innovation in recent years, however, how these approaches systematically develop interdisciplinary and meta-subject competencies remains insufficiently theorized and empirically developed. Although individual studies have demonstrated the pedagogical potential of geospatial technologies, mobile augmented reality, immersive virtual environments, and artificial intelligence-based platforms, no previous review has conducted a comprehensive, systematic analysis of this body of evidence, linking it to the cross-curricular and meta-subject competency frameworks that are central to the reform agenda for national and international curricula. The proposed study fills this gap through a systematic review conducted according to PRISMA 2020 requirements: Ninety-one peer-reviewed studies published between 2020 and 2025 were included, selected from the Scopus database, and the level of agreement among the experts was confirmed with a κ = 0.79. The results of the analysis showed that GIS-based research, mobile augmented reality, and AI-supported learning tools make a measurable contribution to competencies such as spatial thinking, metacognitive regulation, systemic reasoning, and critical argumentation. These competencies are central both in international geography curricula and in post-Soviet interdisciplinary concepts. However, a persistent “policy–competency gap” was identified: curricular ambitions for high-level interdisciplinary teaching are often undermined by structural constraints, an insufficient pedagogical scaffolding, and the lack of validated assessment tools. Theoretical frameworks for digital competence development, such as Falloon's Teacher Digital Competency model and Chiu and colleagues’ needs-supporting institutional model, are not sufficiently applied in the context of geography. Based on this synthesis, a conceptual model is proposed that systematizes the conditions for the targeted integration of digital and mobile learning approaches in school geography with the aim of developing interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary competencies, along with priority directions for future empirical research and curriculum design.
